They’re clearly too pretentious and egotistical to admit their own mistakes and that’s why they will always fail, they’re making games for themselves not the fans.
Not weird at all. They have to defend their product since it's their livelyhood. It's damage control.
What's weird is the fanbase who is so invested in defending it for free. At least we have to assume a small portion of these people are not on a payroll.
Lucky enough a user saved some of them with a song

The artificial AI voices just perfectly reflect the artificial, corporate wording of those answers. Pure gold!
For all we know, the actual developers of the game as released were all vaporized by gigantic alien tripods
I'm sure a Positive Starfield video comparing it to the legacy of Andromeda would go viral.
I'm sure it would do just as well as Asmongolds videos because so many people share your opinion
We'll see if any more Dev review responses come up though - they may have simply taken a short break.
Indeed the user really captured it.
But I actually don´t think most people that like Starfield cares about story, emotions or interactions between characters, if they did... they would have refunded.
Don´t get me wrong, nobody is saying you should like that, I am just saying that they should stop trying to claim Starfield is some GOTY RPG with innovation.. its not.. RPG wise its a step back.. Its fun for people that wanna go shooter looter happy and griend.. but there is no emotion.. its soulless to me. (and even if I am biased against modern Bethesda games, I still liked Skyrim enough to play it and feel emotions)
Here is a good showcase of how I feel (I agree with alot of what this person says)

That is pretty typical. Sadly many are sheep these days.
Like this OP, if BGS posts a response to a review, they are charged with degrading the reviewer even though nothing in the response actually does. It is worded for those reading the review and the response, not to the the original reviewer.
If BGS does not respond then the claim becomes that they are lazy, don't care about the game or players.
These people will twist the narrative to fit there hate. In the end only they will suffer. They will never enjoy life and end up bitter,
I understand how your friend feels, but as a review and recommendation it doesn't sound serious. Anyway, he/she has the right to express his/her feelings on steam.
But what I had read about Bethesda's team response is ridiculous.
It sounds like they are explaining the game to kindergarteners.
At the same time, it seems that they insert advertising in the answer.
If the devs really care about feedback, shouldn't the question be about how to improve the game?
That's because most of the negative reviews are childish and full of crap just like the Bethesda response to all of those negative reviews.
So yea it's funny as hell.
