A more comparable game would be Elite Dangerous, and although the game has no loading screens, in the end even that makes you appreciate what little Starfield does have to offer.
When I played Elite Dangerous like 6 years ago it mostly made me realize that Star Citizen would be boring as hell even if it worked right
I will quote this guy here because I do hate people assuming something they have no knowledge of. My hardware is posted literally in the video's description you can check it there, minimum requirements for Star Citizen are as follow directly from their official website:
OS: Windows 10 / Windows 11
CPU: Quad Core CPU – Intel: Sandy Bridge / AMD: Bulldozer or later
GPU: DirectX11 compatible Graphics Card with 4 GB+ VRam
Memory: 16 GB+ DDR4
Storage: 83 GB+ SSD
I have double the specs above, with the exception of RAM which I will be updating in the next few months. Since my RAM is 16 GB. My CPU was almost not used at all during my gameplay, just barely 3-4% while my GPU was at 80% and it is 8 GB VRAM, 4060. The game ran like trash, sorry but it is the reality but I do clarify in my original post that I did not judge the game based on performance since it is in Alpha state, you do not judge game on performance during the Alpha test, the performance check is at the end of the beta, usually. And I've done plenty of game tests in the past 10+ or so years.
Regardless, I've met the minimum requirements it was the first thing I checked before installing and downloading Star Citizen because I knew it will be quite tough on my hardware, due to not being optimized at all. I needed to know how much my tech will heat up and how bad the performance will be, regardless I was hitting mostly 45 FPS sometimes even 50+ when I dropped down from Very High to High and then around 55 FPS when I dropped down to medium. Game is simply not optimized but that is to be expected. It is an Alpha test.
I will be testing Elite Dangerous next, probably tomorrow or later tonight when I am in mood.
I will be playing this one, as well, it is part of my Ubisoft Account already.
Maybe it's just really old system specs and they have not updated it in like... 6 years?
Well, it is the developers job to upgrade the requirements if required. I don't think that they forgot to do that, it is more like, on what system the game will run most likely when they optimize it and to be honest, I can see future there if they do the optimization right. Which by itself is quite the challenge.
I can confirm that there were more than 8 people per hub, but I have to add here that Star Citizen has loading screens, just not in the traditional way with the spinning wheel. I've noticed on few instances shift and when I flew from the the planet's surface to open space and then during the travel through open space, all of these were well hidden loading screens but due to lack of optimization you can see them fail here and there throughout the video, rare but it does happen.
New hype game? Looks good, I hope it turns out well. With recent hype games' failures, it's hard to have confidence in the developers.
I am actually quite familiar with Ubisoft's approach on games, I've worked for them for like 4 years, so I know what to expect from each of their games. Hell, I even supported their games technically when it was required.
The only loading screen is when you first enter the PU (Persistent Universe) if you notice any other loading than your Hard Drive is not fast enough LOL
Same. Game is published by Ubisoft or Electronic Arts? -> not relevant. I've seen them killing too many games (and studios for that matter) with their "formula".
