Is there a way to get around the Bounty for taking the blame for the Virus?

I took the blame... got off the planet quickly (checked... No Bounty); then Left the System, and landed on my outpost where I keep stolen goods (because I picked up some Stolen Art Work), and dropped it off at my outpost.

Then returned to Neon (checked for Bounty... Still no bounty); landed on Neon (Still no bounty); entered city (Still no bounty); enter the Ebbe, took a few steps (checked bounty; and got hit with 10k).

So... if I stay away longer... or what... in order to avoid the Bounty?!?

Note: I'm trying to play this as an UnderCover UC Agent; and having to fight my way through Neon would be a Serious No-No :0.

From what I've seen you do get a 10,000 bounty for taking the fall for Estella Vincent.

She's a complete b*itch so I've never once attempted to help her, lol. So I have no idea

You probably want to just return to UC Space and pay off the bounty before continuing.

You also could have paid it off at your outpost if you built a bounty board there.

I know you didn't realize you had a bounty but I thought I'd mention it for future reference.

That's weird. Of the 3 play-throughs where I've taken the blame, I've never been hit with a bounty. The last play-through, I didn't leave Neon until/unless the Ryujin missions required it.

I always assumed it was just an empty threat.

I'm working for the UC Sys/Def... I wanted to keep her in play, so she could be arrested with the rest of them :).

I don't actually get hit with the Bounty until I return to Neon: I can land, and enter the Ebb; but after taking a couple of steps into Ebb... then the Bounty gets applied. But I'm thinking if I make a run for it (after speaking with Estelle the final time) I may be able to jump into the ocean, and then make it to my ship without passing any guards; then I'll head for my outpost... and 'Yep'... I do have a Bounty system there.

I just remembered that Delgado said 'Don't mess with Estelle...' ; Apparently she's got connections he doesn't want screwed up.

So I'm curious... did you catch any grief from Delgado because of that?

Also... Did you do these Mission UnderCover... or as an Actual Crimson Pirate? (Note: I'm only Assuming one can Join the Crimsons, and follow the same mission path. (Assuming and Hoping; because I plan/hope to play as a Crimson on another run one day.)) :D

10K bounty is nothing I could when I played make over 100K from most ship boarding's and over 500K in under 10 minutes at my outpost .............................. sure selling all the loot from the ships or all the meds from my outpost took a while but 10K is chump change when you have like 5 million in the bank with nothing to spend it on.

I wonder what happens if you pin the whole thing on the Brother. I did it once and never heard anything about the man’s fate afterwards.
My character is not a guy who would willingly accept the blame for anything, including his own crimes, so there is no way he would “protect” a perfect stranger and pay 10K (even if he has millions in the bank) instead of being paid for the job well done. Nah, not my Jason who steals plushies and toilet paper from the old ladies.

I assume he ends up dead. I forget the command, but in Skyrim you could visit this hidden level that has all the dead NPCs stacked in a pile. The brother is in that pile. I wonder which world hides the dead pile?

Interestingly I've done this questline three times now and I always take the blame and I've never gotten a bounty.

I took the blame as well. Ran to a board, said I had no bounty.

That was proably a 100 hours ago in the game (real time), but ever since then...

Everytime I walk through the gates of neon the guard says "oh, you have a bounty, you might want to get that cleared". I figured it was a bug.

It's not about the Money (I don't have Millions, but I've got plenty; (Over Half a Million); However... my Character is an UnderCover UC Agent... UnderCover as a Pirate; under both those Circumstances he would not pay a Fine. More over I ran off that station to avoid the fine. But, unfortunately, even after getting off the station without a fine; I get hit with it eventually.

And anyone who Blames the Brother is a Low Down Dirty Rotten Crimson Scum!!!! (I'm looking at you Krash!!!!) Come On... Like the Guy doesn't have enough problems. And... if you talk to him, over-hear a couple of conversations, and read a few Confidential Memos, you'll also learn he's actually a Nice Guy.

So for those who are UnderCover and Blamed him: Shameful!!! Just Shameful!!! And for those who are actually Crimson; well... as stated: Low Down Dirty.... etc etc etc!!!
