Starfield has taken 'wokeness' to a whole new level, pushing the boundaries far beyond what many gamers find acceptable. The game is rife with sexually ambiguous NPCs, offering unlimited romance options that blur traditional gender roles. It's a clear nod to a politically correct agenda, distancing itself from the escapism that games are supposed to offer.

Creating a 'They/Them' character? Starfield makes it a feature, turning character creation into a political statement rather than a fun aspect of gameplay. Each quest seems like a thinly-veiled lecture on woke ideology, with every storyline seemingly designed to push a progressive narrative.

The game's lack of traditionally masculine NPCs is startling. Gone are the characters who embody virtues like bravery, strength, and leadership. Instead, we're offered a new norm: strong, independent female NPCs who don't need anyone's help. While strong female characters are essential, the balance has tipped too far, overshadowing other character types and diminishing diversity.

Starfield feels like a forced march through a landscape of modern political correctness, rather than an enjoyable journey through a sci-fi universe. The game's heavy-handed approach to inclusivity and diversity feels more like an agenda than an authentic, immersive experience. This is why the game is performing so poorly compared to previous titles.

I gotta disagree with your here, in the sense that, there is nothing wrong with romance in an RPG. It's only a problem if the sex is the only thing going on for romantic relationships with an NPC, then it's just a shallow waste of time.

Romance can be an important part to your characters story telling. It would make sense that your character would fall in love or has casual sex depending on your narrative.
I am go to claim now that, the majority of RPers can perfectly differentiate between game romance and IRL romance.

It only becomes a problem when in-game romance is the only romance experience you have and start projecting it IRL.

When i flirt with NPCs in an RPG i dont seek validation for myself, it is part of my characters RP and I think that is how most people do it.

For clarification i used to be very liberal with porn consumption in my opinion about it. But i had to accept that it ruined many young men's perspective on sex and love, so I think I have an idea where your coming from with your anti romance stance in-game. If that was where you were coming from, but correct me if i am wrong

That's not what i meant, now listen. Usually i agree with your arguments, but i was talking about romance in general in an RPG, now SF pandering to leftwingers is a different story but, I was saying, well developed romance can be a nice addition to an RPG, it shouldnt be in the game just for the sake of being in the game tho. I am also not a big fan of Baldurs romance, it just has decent animated sex cutscenes but is so barebones that I only romanced a single NPC for RP-sake in 3 different runs and was disappointed.

You got the wokes in these threads, nothing gives them more satisfaction than seeing those who are not into their cult leave. Does not matter what happens to this game, not to them, nevermind that it goes under and make no mistake Starfield is going under but it's not cause of wokeness, or rather not just, but because of very poor management and lack of communication, but wokeness plays it's role cause people who might have otherwise considered giving this game the benefit of the doubt are no longer inclined to do that. I'm not and I was a huge Bethesda fan before they started taking themselves too seriously and thinking the fans would just put up with their mistakes. I won't. I am sorry I preordered this game, I am sorry I bought it to be honest, but I'm done buying their games on good faith. If they make another great game, I'll buy it. If not, well maybe the wokes can support them instead.

Wokes don't tend to stick around after they spooked everyone else, no, they'll follow those people because they can't live without them, without creating drama and calling people racists, right wingers and all that crap they do. That is what they care about, not the entertainment provided by games or movies, they just want to create outrage.

So in the end, no, it's not wokness that ruins things. Wokeness is just an inconvenience. It's the quality of the product they are selling and Bethesda has failed to present a quality product as far as this game is concerned. Lucky for us the gaming industry is huge and if Bethesda can't provide, someone else will.
