Can't Remove Outpost
I built an outpost for harvesting solvent and after the first day of use it is constantly broken.
The cargo link plays the animation like it is bringing in the resources I need but the storage containers never fill. The two links involved have been rebuilt numerous times and only work until I move to another outpost. The sending base has four other cargo links that work flawlessly, sending resources to other systems with no issues. I decided to try moving the outpost to a different biome on the same planet and now can not remove the base as there are "CREW" assigned. Who ever decided service bots are crew should be fired, they can not be unassigned and there is no option to delete them when out of sight and there is no way to delete a broken base with bots that are playing hide and seek in the rocks and vegetation.
Anyone know of a way to force removal of bots or base that will not further break my game?

I don't know if the bots will go if the outpost is removed, but to remove it go to the outpost beacon and get close. You will see text appear that allows you to build or rename the outpost. If you look closely, you will also see smaller, darker text that says "Remove outpost".

Hold down the activation key on the Rename text and an option will pop up asking if you want to delete the outpost.

I've never tried to remove a bot... and I'm too far away to try anything right now; however; I do know you can pick them up just like anything else you place; so it seems you should be able to pick them up, and Delete them... just like a Storage Container; If, of course, you can find it.

As to your issue with Deliveries; have you checked to ensure the resources you need are being delivered to the Cargo Link of the base in which the resources are coming? One of the issues I have with my Base that Supplies Nickel is I have so much more of other items, the Nickel never gets Loaded; it just accumulates :(.

If possible, post the results of your issue; I know eventually I'm going to have to re-build my NetWork; but I had no idea it might be a problem Re-Assigning my Bot.

Good Luck Mate.
You absolutely have to find the bots. If they are not in the base, you can only do this with Console. So click on them, go back to the base (if necessary with "tcl") then "moveto player" and delete them in the build menu. They may be lying broken in a corner somewhere. Good luck from me too.

p.s.An outpost of mine produced CTD whenever I called up the build menu.
So I can't even do what you can probably still do. But yeah, treating the bots as crew NPC is probably not such a good idea.

When I tried removing an outpost on a planet where I had built two. By removing it I just used the game's holding down rename to delete it. The removal worked but then every time I tried to build something on the other outpost the game CTD.

Not using any mods or any other modifications to the game. I was not far into the game and just restarted a new game and told myself I would just not delete an outpost again.

This worked for getting rid of the robots so I could remove the outpost. I put a crew station down then deleted it and the bots went with it.
I have not attempted to set up a new cargo link, just been manually hauling the required resource which is another PITA due to clunky mechanics.

Semi-ConGratz... and Great to Know!!! Thanx Mate.

Have you tried using that Cargo Transfer Thing; it's suppose to allow you to transfer cargo directly to your ship. Still not the best answers; but if you're not using that it could save One Small Step of a Manual Transfer.

Yes the Transfer platform works for collecting resources if set up properly, but I have not managed to get it to work for offloading to a new outpost. Anything related to moving resources via some kind of automation is just plain buggy and doing it manually isn't much better. I can't wait for the creation kit to be released so the modding community has the tools to fix what BGS is unwilling or incapable of.

Yeah... the Transfer Cargo thing only works for allowing you to Transfer Cargo directly from the Transfer Cargo thing to your Ship; otherwise... it's still just a Manual Transfer.

I'm going to Hope and Cross My Fingers that BGS will fix these things up; I'm not opposed to Mods (Especially for Aesthetics), but I find Mods usually make things harder when/if you have problems with your game. Something doesn't work; It's Your Mods; is the only answer you'll get :(.

But that's just My Gripe :(.

Anyway... Sorry, Back to Your Issue :). I spent a lot of time setting up my outposts, so when things went off the Rails, I moved on to other parts of the game; but plan to, one day, return and try to get it up and running. However; I'm pretty sure my problem was space. My Outposts run like a Train Pick-Up and Delivery system... all heading towards a Final Stop (The Distribution Center). OutPost (OP) 6 Delivers 2 Items to OP 5, OP 5 Delivers 4 Items to OP 3; and so on to the Final Stop. The problem is: if one item grows to an abundance, other items on the train never get delivered. Eventually I end up with 18 Boxes of Iron, 2 Boxes of Aluminum, and every other resource is stuck in their original OutPost. (The numbers aren't actually that bad; but to date; I've had Zero Deliveries of Nickel to the Distribution Center.

Sorry for the Long story... but the point is: This doesn't stop the Freighters from Coming and Going to and from each Outpost; it only stops the Freighter from actually picking up, and delivering anything, because when the Final Destination is full; then One by One each InComing and OutGoing Container gets filled up as well; InComing with the Previous OP's Resources; and OutGoing with the Current OPs Resources.

This may be your actual issue with your resources not being transferred.

Again... Apologies for being So Long-Winded :).

I did a fair amount of research on the cargo system and its flaws so I only ship/receive one resource from each Cargo Link pair to prevent bottle necking. I removed the entire outpost and moved it to a different location with a better biome split and it seems to be working as advertised now. Part of the issue may have been that once constructed the original outpost developed several restricted zones and the cargo link was very close to them no mater how I placed it.

Ahhh.... Got It. Well, at least you're up and running. When I redo my OutPost I may limit my bases as well; better to get something that nothing :). Good Looking Out Mate!!!
