So you can eat food laying on the ground...
But not the food that are inside a box ?

I still need to open the box inventory, clic on the juice box to put it in my inventory, then close the box menu to open my inventory, look into the Aids menu and then look for that bottle of juice among my other items.

I mean, it's still nice you can eat the food laying around instead of going trough the nightmare of the Starfield inventory, but it's just funny that they forgot to include the food that are inside a container.

I don't think the menu is that bad, I've gotten used to it, and I don't need any mods that try to change it or make it clearer.

Once the CK is out and StarUI is CK friendly I will be using that. I would suggest the same. :P I am curios as to why they didn't make fridges as containers with a (transfer link) to blue food crates & the Kitchen/Galley Workbench. Should've been a no-brainer on that. -shrug-

In the Aid menu you can look for the marker that indicates a newer item, it's a little box next to the item name like the red and yellow boxes marking stolen/contraband items but this one will be white to mark a new item to your inventory. Or instead of scrolling through the aid menu you could go to the new items menu where it lists items you just picked up. Both of these options make it quick and easy to find things you've just picked up.

They should add a eat or consume button when you see the food like in most survival games.

i think theres a enough things that take time in the game already an quick eat option would help.

Everyone knows floor chunks taste better than chunks you find in a box. Its science.

This isn't a survival game. Just because survival games have that kind of function doesn't mean that Starfield needs it. StarField is an RPG.

It's bad. Bethesda menus are text monsters.

Yeah. Skyrim inventory was bad, this is even worse.

Skyrim menus were bad? OK, then I'm a different type of player who didn't mind it, even after over 800 hours. Maybe I'll just get used to new things quickly and work with them. 🤔

skyrim didnt get mixed reviews out of the gate like this one did and still has. Skyrim wasnt that great but it changed gaming and is a historic game imo because of it. how many here are still bringing it up? No body will be saying ohh starfield that changed gaming what a historic game...no not even close

As a PC player why should I accept console centric menus? It was the same with Skyrim, SkyUI was my first mod. As for the food in Starfield, why is this such a big deal? I stopped picking up food hundreds of hours ago.
