[BIG FAT SPOILERS] The Final Fight and NG+
I finished the main quest today on very hard difficulty, Level 77. I fought both hunter and emissary. Initially I was surprised that I actually won the persuasion game on the first try. They drop all the artifacts and just blink out. Well, that's no fun. So, save/reload and go straight to combat.

So far, it is the single best boss fight of the entire game. It was fantastic. I say that because I died about a dozen times learning the strategy on my own (I did not read any hints). This fight has very serious teeth. After about the 3rd failed attempt, I reloaded and emptied the pharmacy. I took any/all enhancers in my inventory. Saved, try again.

I used an advanced Magshear (fully modded, over 2k DPS). I spent about 1k rounds. All I can say is that this specific gun was born to be in this boss fight. If you go down this same path, I can report that maximum aggression is your best bet ... (except for one zone near the end at Nasa with tons of duplicates, I will explain). The Magshear is unbridled aggression. Thus, the very best strategy is to ignore all the duplicates (as best you can) and make a beeline for the blue-markers (you know you're near the end when you see 3 or less in the current zone).

The bosses will both zone when one of them takes too much damage. That will keep happening in deterministic fashion until. You zone with them and/or you zone thru vortexes.

At the end, inside Nasa, there is a dead-end hallway to your left (as you land in the zone). Take cover inside that space. Use your sniper rifle and patiently cap the duplicates (there will be a lot of them). The final boss will slowly creep position toward you. When the time is right, rush him. I did not have any Aurora, but that might have been a plus.

Bring lots of healing/trauma kits. I used at least 15 (maybe 20) total just for this fight alone. You will die quickly, if you fail to keep an eye on your health. The enemies have your same gear. So, I got to feel what it was like to be on the business end of my Magshear - bad nasty.

The main satisfaction here is the double weapon reward from each.
Eternity's Gate.
Unmitigated Violence.

I did my usual postal weapon test at the New Atlantis spaceport. Eternity's Gate is currently the third most lethal one shot rifle I have - And I don't even have any points in energy.

This was the first time I actually manually copy/saved my savegames in windows explorer just to be 100% sure I did not lose my current state. I then jumped thru the Unity and ran around the world for over an hour. The spacesuit was cool. The ship was too sterile. I immediately wanted to mod the gifted weapons (Va'ruun Inflictor), but I no longer was resource rich (main game had 12k mass of resources in the infinity chest). I don't have the patience to recollect everything to engage the bench-mods gameplay. And I had almost zero HEAVY FUSE. So the 200 hours I spent overcoming infrastructure poverty was flushed down the toilet.

I do not play games to experience the story (as much as others do). Although I will say the final boss fight here was fantastic for story and dialog. I play games for a sense of elite progression. I want to min/max my gear and everything around me. I also want to express personality and my custom Class C killer of a ship was gone.

I'm not likely to invest in the NG+ features unless Bethesda makes it easier to find all 24 temples. I did a few and it is a mind numbing grind. I never appealed to Skyrim shouts hardly ever - and I beat the anniversary edition on Legendary Survival mod. So I'm thinking the powers will feel similar to me. The word walls in Skyrim were cool. The music and tone changed as you approached a wall. I don't mind the trek from ship to temple. I just don't like the random hunt to find them. For me, the demand is far below the cost and supply (where my time is concerned).

*********
So I am back to my main save, happy to add Eternity's Gate to my arsenal. Time to put points into particle weapons.
