Looking for a space battle farming location.

If your looking to farm space battles i have found the system serpentis perfect. I systematically hop from planets and moons there and battle almost every stop. Wash and repeat as often as you want.

What level ships do you come across in that system? How much XP per kill on average?

Serpentis is pretty high level already but the spawnrate is insane.

enemy ships seem to level up with system level. i just went there and did 2 45 level varuun ships for 270 xp. starborn ships, which u will run into there also may be a little more xp, not sure.

That's not too bad. It would be good to find a system where you could farm level 72 Starborns, each one is around 700 XP.

I tried to find it when I still played but it seems like it's a random encounter in level 75 systems.

Serpentis is great, just keep moving around from planet to planet.
Rinse/repeat. Usually you'll also get one Starborn spawn if you're up to that point.

I have looked also in the highest systems but starborn are far and few between. Wasted more time then it was worth. Easier to farm serpentis where there is lots to shoot.

If you do not have the quest to safely fly there go to the Key and there is usually a goodly number of them waiting for you. You will need to wait a while for them to respawn before going back to do it again.

Starborn ships will spawn once out of a Serpentis round robin, roughly,
Sometimes you need to hop out of the system and come back, other times I've just ended up back at the starting planet (I start somewhere and go clockwise) and they'll just start spawning again.

Not having an issue finding starborn to fight on planets.

Starborn spawn about ~50% of the time I get ships landing and crews coming out. Sometimes I've had two Starborn ships land at once, both dropping crews of 6 or so starborn. I'm still on original playthrough though, completed Unity quest with all powers, and also leveling the powers up via https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/4978?tab=description

Starborn ships were locked to me until I got all the powers, but due to the known bug selling them I haven't bothered taking one. I prefer my ships more traditional anyway. They don't even have a bed or crafting in them, so pass.

I thought they were supposed to leave this Universe alone now, but apparently not, which suits me as they're great fun to fight.

Every so often I'll also come across a group of starborn at a POI fighting fauna, so hop right into that as well. Extra double fun battles.

granted starborn are not difficult to find, i was trying to find level 70+ starborn in the high end systems. they were the ones that didnt spawn often for me. I was able to get rid of one of those damn starborn ships from my list of ships and i dont want anything to do with them now.
