Acid or freezing rain on every planet
Is this a bug? I haven't encountered normal rain anywhere on the planet where there's life and oxygen, as soon as it starts raining, I am forced to go back to the ship. Sleeping doesn't do anything, I can hibernate for over 500 game hours and it will still rain..

Is there anything I can do to mitigate this?

no, not really. You can beef up your elemental resist by wearing clothing (cosmetic clothing has minor resists that vary) and adding the 'elemental' defense mod to your gear at the workbench, but IMHO it is intended to be difficult on any 'non-temperate' planet and you are 'expected' to simply craft, loot, buy etc plenty of anti-condition medication aid items and use them as needed. Let the condition get worse if it isn't hurting you, and only remove it before doing a POI battle or if it has reduced your health by a ton or is constantly taking away your o2 or something.

There are also skill perks in the 'body' or whatever it is category (greenish) that reduce your chance to get conditions and may even heal them faster or something. I forget as I have yet to go deeply into that tree.

as for rain itself, it does rain on temperate planets. And, that aside, leave the planet and come back may help, but I think its heavily biased to rain on you. There is also scalding rain. Another way to avoid it is to stick to temperate and no-atmosphere planets until you get higher level.

It rains on temperate planets. I have seen it often. Some have said, it never rains in Akila City or New Atlantis. Yes it does.

Can you please explain what does non temperate planet mean?

Mars is a example of a non temperate planet. Does not have a breathable atmosphere and without a space suit or a Outpost, humans would die on it.

Magnar, in Delta Pavonis, is raining on me at present. Atmo is poisonous but water and rain are not. Planets with Water: Safe have safe rain as well. Relocating (traveling without going into orbit) can escape weather conditiions. If you must explore in caustic weather, drop an outpost beacon, construct a hab airlock, put a chair in it, and Wait for the weather to pass. After weather is clear deconsruct all and move on.

Thanks for explaining, however, I'm afraid you're misunderstanding what I wrote in my initial post. I am talking about planets that have living aliens on it, breathable air.. On "non" temperate planets, I understand. But I am having acid rain or freezing rain on planets I shouldn't..

Even temperate planets with breathable air and lots of flora and fauna can have bad water. Check the planetary dope sheet for the Water: quality. Safe means OK to play in the rain. All others are chancy.

Planetary temperature also has an influence -- Cold may mean freezing rain even if water is Safe.
