Easiest and best way is to show us what Steam sees.
The steps are as follows (very simple):
Go up top here in Steam and find "Help"
Next choose "System information"
Give it a second or 2 to populate
Then simply copy & paste the info here in this thread, all of it.

It took me ages to find fixes to reduce the crashes.
There are two.
1. Run the Starfield.exe as an administrator - this is the one that made the most difference, if you don't know how - ask me here and I'll type it out for you.
or
2. If you are overclocked on the cpu return it to default speed, Starfield is very touchy about overclocking.
Edit: While I'm thinking about it, the amount of saves you have can cause jank as well - try the other two first and if it continues remove excess saves, it seemed to help.
Ugh, wish the GFX makes would stop gouging the market and return to sanity. At this pace it will make sense to upgrade in another 2-3 years when the cost to performance difference isnt abysmal anymore, hopefully.
As for a 11080ti I've seen many struggle with it on Starfield.
What GPU are you running?
Windows 10 or 11?
There nothing special on my OS, it's a generic cloud computer, with just some games installed and un installed, and some game client, last GPU driver.
But I'd never thought memory could be a problem, but ok on my main computer I have 16Gb but I don't play Starfield with it, and the computer with Starfield and gamepass has 12Gb when on shop page minimum quoted is 16Gb.
Sigh. That said I admit I pay for a crap, 12Gb and name this a game offering (base) is a rip off.
The game will not run properly on a HDD.
It will default to where ever you installed Steam, you had the option to install Steam where ever you wanted

There's also a section titled:
"How do I change the default installation path for my games?"
