Bessel III-B missing anomoly temple
So I've landed at Bessel II-B at the spot that states "Scanner Anomoly". There were a lot of land marks and I've flagged and visited every one in the grid. I know with the scanner that it distorts when you get close to the temple, however, this grid has not glitched a distortion once.

Furthermore, I found a spot that says "Scanner anomoly" as the site marker and its come up as this small outpost with 2 little outposts (no bigger than 1-2 rooms for each) and some storage boxes (gas/solid/liquid) and really nothing else.

I've tried landing at multiple areas on the planet (25 so far in all) in hopes I might see a scanner distortion, but literally nothing has happened... so did my game bug for this "power temple" or is this a known bug?

It's there, just hard to find sometimes usually about 400 - 500 m away. Look for a large tower. Maybe stand on top of your ship.

And yes land on the spot that says "Scanner anomoly"

i did that. have a read above.. that's literally all i found in the area. A lot of sites in the landing site specified - but I went to each and every one of them, none of them were the temple. I wandered - not kidding - for 6 hours straight looking in the entire grid area landing up to the point it says "return to ship/go to next grid area" where I hit Tab to cancel and kept looking in the grid section I landed in.
There was literally no temple in the area, no scanner distortions, - nothing.
The exact marker ON the planet surface you land at says ""Scanning Anomaly"" but its just an outpost. 1xairlock square building and a 2 levelx2 outpost building with 3 solid storage crates, 1x liquid storage crate, 1xwarehouse crate and a small tent with a landing pad.
I think this bug has only been fixed in the 'Community Patch' so far. Not in the current beta patch.
So I can only recommend installing the community patch.

If you want to install it, save your game far away, i.e. in a different star system.

I just did that planet yesterday and yes the temple is never that close to where the landing spot is and yes there may even be other buildings and or equipment somewhat near the landing area. Mine was probably 500 m away and behind a mountain.

I don't use the patch and found the temple.

OP just be aware that the patch requires the Script Extender which is another mod and if you updated your game with the Beta patch the Script Extender will not work which means your game will not work which is normal until the Script extender gets updated which it won't until the patch is made official.
yes, there is a lot to read....
btw. I never had this bug, but have often read about it. Some even said that there was no temple. it's not a game breaking bug, so it can be ignored, but it depends on the player

i haven't moved to the beta yet. But yeah I walked 2500 metres in every direction of my ship. W,NW,N,NE,E,SE,S - etc I went to every single "marked" location be it research, natural, anomaly, structure, caves - etc. literally nothing at all. No scanner distortion, and kept hitting every side of the grid where it asked if I wanted to move to a new area (which I cancelled). IT wasn't there at all.
As Vlad 254 said, the temple is no more than 500 units away. And if you turn the scanner 360°, you can also see the interference at this distance.
I don't know what you want to do now. It depends on how important this is to you.
In general, I'm of the opinion that you can't get by without mods in Bethesda games and if you don't overdo it, then the community patch and some QoL inventory mods would be a good start. But you can also do a lot wrong with mods and swap one problem for another. So, anyway, good luck.

Hi there, got same bug. Its a known issue. https://help.bethesda.net/#en/answer/61165 is one of the variants. Some of these replies will insist you're doing it wrong, overlooking the fact that its likely just bugged.... and you get no distortions and get no or just POI just called "Temple" you can enter, get the lights/power animation, warp out and... nothing. No new power. No update to quest. It was not in the patch notes after 1 Month of known issue.... fun times! Best to wait for a fix, like so many others....

Unfortunately, the landing area is the same for the artifact in the cave and for the temple. The temple is actually over 3400 m from the ship landing area. If you use the ground map and go back to the cave where the artifact was, you will get the distortions. The temple is still over 3000 m away to the south though so it’s quite a trek. But it is there. As you are heading south, you’ll be going through a valley between two mountains if you get on top of the mountains and the dust isn’t blowing too bad, you will be able to see the temple way off in the distance. So go to the cave that held the artifact and start from there.

Never had this particular issue myself thankfully, but consider such a bug entirely plausible.
