The NASA Punk Aesthetic.
Turns out, it's not a style I care for. I find it bland and unappealing. Not that it ruins the game for me. I just would have preferred a look more similar to Mass Effect.

What are your thoughts on NASA Punk?

Honestly it doesn't bother me ... I just wish Beth had a more interesting setting to show it off in.

Can't say the same. The nova galactic ship parts are some of my favourite parts.

When the probable trident line DLC comes you could probably pull something off closer to mass effect at least interior wise.

Plus CK2 drops eventually and I imagine some people will make some parts inspired by mass effect and the like.

Not my cup of tea, but doesn't bother me.

There is no such thing as NASA punk. Its a term coined by a moron who does not understand what the word Punk means in this context.

Beautiful. Especially the ship interiors. Enjoy the fact that it's not all quantum entanglement communications and holograms. Bit of duct tape and some old socks make for a great alternate filtration system.

I partially agree with you, but at the same time I think it's really cool to see ''real'' things in the game such as the face on mars displayed on Cydonia.

NASA punk is one of the many aspects I love the game for. I always pondered on making a space game with design elements from that era but Bethesda beat me to it. :lunar2019smilingpig:

not a fan, for a game set 300 years from now it looks more like the armour and ships are made in 2100 at most. I find it hard to believe that in 300 years what is considered 'armour' is just armour plates slapped onto NASA suits

It's unique and I like that. But I don't think I would be interested in another fps/rpg in this theme.

I do like the aesthetics and often found myself admiring the space ships and stations.

But in no way is it believable that the tech in 300 years looks like that.

Also they seem to have completely ignored the past 30 years of miniaturisation, mobile technology and computer tech advancements.

I think the fact that the Constant has the exact same tech, on-board computers and look, underlines how lazy they are at Bethesda.

Thats exactly how terms are coined since the beginning of time, some moron says something and other morons keep saying it and now here you are typing in english like the moron you are

What would you have ordered cut in order to make a batch of single-use art assets for that mission?

Half the planets?
Did notice how much work they put into the Constant? All the Macintosh computers, VHS tapes and other old world tech on that ship (let's ignore the fact that the Constant left in 2149 I think yet has 1980s tech for some reason)?

Not only were they too lazy to give the ship something resembling a different era tech, but the quest itself is so mindnumbingly dumb that it baffles the mind that they included.

I do wonder though why your reply to me is what content I would cut to make it better.

Like... how big of a Bethesda shill do you need to be to reply with that?

I am sure Todd liked it though. What CEO wouldn't love that ♥♥♥♥...

Clearly the colony ship was manned by people that frequent the technology board /g/ on 4chan.

I actually like NASA Punk a lot it turns out. I discovered that I did when Leagues of Votann came out in 40k and I fell in love with the little NASA Punk space stunties.
