I got this ship during the story, i've since gotten a few ships up to its level but none seem to have its speed? my upgraded Razorleaf has a default speed of 185? but all my other ships have top speed of 122? same amount of pips, Sam is on board both..

Why is the Razorleaf so much faster?

Really? I thought it was a low class ship, sure it beats the frontier, but it really is nothing special.

C class engines are the slowest but have the most trusth to get a ship up , ment for big boys

A class engines are the fastest, high speed less trusth more ment for a fighter type

B class are medium choice between a and c

The max speed for C class engines is 130, B class engines is 140, and A class engines 150 then you can get a bit more speed with a crew member ending you up with a 185 total speed

I know but i have 3 ships i use.. all C class updated to max.. All the same crew and skills.. Frontier, Razorleaf and a Narwhal.. two top speed at 185 one the Narwhal is 122..

I use the RazoLeaf a lot but never worry about the max speed. The difference may be weight to thrust ratio, maybe. Otherwise it could just be a perk the ship has like a legendary weapon.

There is a type of A class engine that can go at 180 without crew members, but with crew members, you will be able to go at 200+ (White Dwarf 3015)

Remember that C class engine are slower than A class engine

If you use A class engine on a C class ship, you can go at 185, but the ship would have a slow acceleration

Names are changed but that's what they were originally.

Can you give screenshot of the speed in space ? it seems weird that they are going at 185 speed, for the Narwall, it might be because you don't have enough engine power allocated or not enough engine at all

Nah, every of his ships seems to be C class, using C class reactor and engines

Well, if it's not solved, then I'd think it could go back to the base origin of the ship, however, the Narwal has the highest mass and that could be the driver, at least in part.

There's nothing special about the Razorleaf. It's simply power to weight.

The Razorleaf has four engines: Two Ares DT60's and two White Dwarf 1000's for a total thrust of 37300. With a hull mass of 469, you have a top speed of about 165 Meters per second with no modification.

There are plenty of ships in the game just as fast and some even faster. The Ecliptic Stiletto, an A class ship, is faster and they are very easy to find. The Dragonfire III, a C class ship, is faster than the Razorleaf right out of the box. (A little pricey though)
