So, I took off from Neon. Now I'm in space but the quest still says "Take off from Neon" and I can't fast travel anywhere. I wonder if it's possible to travel between planets or stars at sub-grav-jump speeds?
It is possible but it is slow as hell plus the planet you traveled to won't load it will just be an empty sphere. There are a couple videos on YouTube of people doing this. I doubt it would solve your issue.
As I said at the beginning, I retried the mission in multiple ways: traveling fast, walking to the ship, talking to Walter as soon as I entered it, sitting first in the pilot's seat...
None of this solved the problem and the mission was blocked.
The only thing I do recommend is that you do not use the console trick "KIILALL" mentioned. This definitely breaks the game and forces you to reinstall it.
Bethesda doesn't read anything here and if they did they would ignore your rude comment.
Other then all the bugs that exist name a single bug, see you can't.
