Ship will not land on pad at outpost
My ship is within specs for a landing pad for an outpost, but when I land it lands hundreds of meters away from the pad and I have to boost pack forever any ideas or help would be appreciated.

This issue can happen when the landing pad is not fully within the outpost border.

Re-logging maybe even a system reboot, that usually fixes those types of glitches for me.

Don't use the landing site. You do not get a landing sequence for your base. You just select the base and the ships spawn on the pad.

After you build a landing pad at an outpost do this:
1. Select a quest that leads back to your ship so it marks the ship.
2. Go to the terminal to edit your ship.
3. Open the editor to edit the ship, you do not need to change anything.
4. After exiting the editor the ship or ship marker should move to the pad.
If you only see a marker then do this:
1. Save the game.
2. Load the game.
3. The ship should now be on the landing pad.
If the ship is "half buried" open the editor again as you did before and it should be right now.

Like @DaneDanger said above, if your pad is too close to the edge of the outpost radius the game may drop you at a "landing site" even if you select just the base for landing.

Note that even if the pad is entirely inside your outpost, this can happen if it is too close to the edge. Try moving it a little bit toward the middle. Sometimes even just slightly rotating it can work if it's already not that close ot the outpost edge.

This fixed it for me. Thanks!
