Starfield HD Overhaul mod not working

I've tried everything, edited any file it asks and i cant get this mod to apply in game, i downloaded manually, though i do use vortex but it didn't work on that either so i switched to manual but alas, the water still looks like sh*t lol, any help would be appreciated.

I know it's just a graphics mod but I'd stay away from all mods til the patch that is supposedly coming next week cause it's going to break some mods and you will have to sit it out til the modder updates it.

I use this mod, works like a dream. I use Vortex and downloaded all 5 with no issue. There has been a patch for file #4 released this morning. All I can say is make sure you have the proper .ini file, download it from the optional sections if you have to.

Other than that I don't have any other advice. I hope you get it working!

The installation instruction is literally painted in bright colourful letters on the modpage. Works exactly like described in the instruction. You can install the mod with vortex or manually.

The water in New Atlantis still looks like ♥♥♥♥ after succesful installation, if that is where you are looking. But everything else looks better (signs, walls, floors, whatever).

And since the mod does not use xEdit or an esm-file you don't have to wait for the patch.

ive looked at the signs and they do look better, i think you are right. I only went by the water cause the change would have been the clearest indication it was working. Ive yet to see water in game looking like the ones posted on the page though, but we'll see

You can install the water as a stand alone mod https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/4246 if you want it. Will also upgrade the New Atlantis water.

I can't get any mod to work, though i follow all installation and starfieldcustom.ini instructions, the mods just wont work.

Also make sure that nothing overwrites the edited starfield.ini - like the starfieldcustom.ini in your documents/mygames/starfield folder ... adding the ini-edits to the starfieldcustom.ini solved the water problem for me. Had nothing to do and found that i overlook that problem about 10 minutes ago ...
