Steal or Kill Petrov [No sudden moves - Best outcome]

Hey guys. I'm in Petrov's ship for the No Sudden Moves quest.
What's the best outcome for me - shall I spare or kill him? In terms of Loot, Quests (does his crew give me quests, are there any interesting merchants amongst them) and EXP?

If you want his outfit kill him
But as far as I'm aware you only go there once for that mission rest are just normal npcs

You are able to get that artifact and keep him alive if your a do gooder char.

Just let him lead you to his safe, convice him to show the artifact. Then notify him you wil take the artifact and grab it. Petrov wil turn hostile, shoot him down asap, he wil be on his knees but stil alive. Talk to him again. Convince him to stand down and move on to the exit without the need to kill his crew

you can do the same right at the beginning, shoot him down before you talk to him , he will surrender and let you grab the artifact , his crew won't get hostile.
