Iron and Aluminium on linnaeus iv-b
I am having difficulty finding aluminum and iron together on this planet. I put the cursor exactly at the divider line at several different locations and I either get JUST aluminum or JUST Iron, never mixed. I have ran to the edge several times in more than one direction and still no mixing.... are they not supposed to be found together?

Also sometimes "aluminum" will appear when its color is only for iron, and vise versa. So what gives here?

The two mineral types dont mix, so the delineation line tends to be a hard edge. You could go 10 mins out and find them together or never at all.

My advice is to position yourself on edge and whatever type you land on, head in the direction of the other type on the map. If you find a vein try following it out towards your direction of travel. Its how I tend to find them myself.

You might be better off using a cargo link to stockpile Fe and Al at one outpost.

The lines and landing spot are imprecise, to say the least. My rule of thumb is each outpost needs 3 useful materials, and I walk those lines for half an hour or more to find it sometimes and then only to find that one of the resources isn't really in range because some rando structure cut a slice out of my outpost.... its a tough job trying to make good outposts.

My advice is a little different: if you can't find what you want here, look at another planet(s). There is no need to insist on al/fe together, instead, why not grab fe/ni and al/he3 each with some nice third on 2 different planets? Al/cu often ride a line. Fe/ni is not uncommon. I also advise AT LEAST 1 point in ship scanner skill before bothering with mining outposts. 2 points is about right; that will net you everything you need for a very long time, but 1 point is enough to get started.

Im not making a "good" outpost. Im making an outpost to mas level from 98+ i need some quick levels for something.

He is recommending just doing 2 outposts and dumping the materials from one to the other. You can do this extensively so that your main outpost has all the stuff from all the others, or not at all. I prefer not at all: its a lot of complicated hand waving to get that running smoothly and personally all I want is a large (100 units or so) top off of 10 or so key elements used in suit/weapon mods.

If you just want power leveling bulk, this seems like the easy way out.

Im not in the mood to hook up helium-3 for shipping it.

If you just want to level, cobalt+nickel spawn together on 167 planets and make isocentered magnets.

For materials in 2 different groups you need to land on the edge where the biomes that have each touch.
You need to get a map that has both biomes in it (this doesn't always happen), and then look along the tiny strip on land on that map where the biomes touch.
If either of the biomes is not colored in the resource scan at the spot where you landed, then it will be hard to find a good spot with both.

For Aluminum & Iron & Beryllium & Helium-3 I made a base on Andraphon (Narion System, it is where you start the game).
In the north where the Helium-3 area touches the Iron area (Craters border with mountains that is colored on both sides in the resource scan).
It is very obvious where the biome edge is here (craters is kind of reddish, mountains gray).

It's hard to find a spot where Fe and Al are close enough to each other to mine in the same outpost, but if you land in a spot where the 2 lines meet it can be done, it just takes a lot of searching. I found a planet with Fe, Al, and He3 (I don't remember what the planets name was) and places on that planet where Fe and Al could be mined at the same outpost but never built the outpost because I couldn't find a spot to mine all three resources at the same outpost.

Edit - I just looked on my game and the planet I was talking about was Serpentis V-d.
H2O, He-3, Al, Ni, Fe, Be, Co, and HnCn.

No offense however you don't read very well do you. I already stated in the OP that I landed several times where they touch and it never spawned. I dont need a mansplaining, especially sonce my character is level 98 and I have been playong well over 200 hours.

No offense, but level 98 after no more than 200+ hrs? My char is level 87 and I am approaching 500 hrs. Seems like your main goal is more about leveling than doing the ton of content the game offers. But hey, you be you if that is how you enjoy the game.

But on topic, it is not easy to find two resources you can harvest on one Outpost. They can be found, but it takes a lot of time finding them. Like exploring different planets. Also having all the points in scanning, does help.

You don't need helium to connect the simple cargo links between outposts in the same system. I do this all the time because some minerals don't overlap.

Ive explored 92% of the 120 star systems. Thats how i have leveled so "fast". Surveying gives good experience. Stop attacking its rediculous you came in flinging your hands assuming I know nothing of this game. Check your assumptions and do some self relection on your attitude.

Didnt know the system only ones dont require helium-3. Thank you.

Then if you don't feel like "mansplaining" or getting the HE3, it's on you. The suggestions are all valid. It's your own refusal to fix the issue, not ours.
