Ready or not and escape from tarkov are 2 games that really need a big optimisation patch soon.

Oh man you been living under a rock :D We had 2 major titles this year, that new star wars jedi game and last of us that were horrible on performance and got quite a lot backlash from it. There were others too but i cant remember them right now. But usually the sony ports to pc mostly been extremely crap on performance wise.

But i got only 2080 TI and relatively old cpu and the game runs pretty much 60fps on high graphical settings. And my pc is long due from a upgrade. Also forza motorsport runs like crap on my PC but i think there must be some driver or settings issue as i doubt its that crap, i got everything on low and still barely hits 30fps so you could add that to list unless its my pc that is the issue.

But yeah as you mentioned cyberpunk i think i got around same quality settings in general on both of them and runs fine 60fps with some odd random drops sometimes as my hardware is not top notch anymore. But i do have to say atm my 16gb of ram that used to be more than enough today is just minimum, 32gb ram is more like recommended these days.

Hogwarts Legacy... Jedi Survivor... both of which are much, much worse.

ARK: Survival Ascended

They literally went in that direction out of desperation for money.

Hey, me too, and I have zero performance problems in Starfield. But that wasn't the point. Hogwarts sucked for almost everyone who initially played it. And even worse, Hogwarts has spiky performance and lag and hitching. Inconsistent performance is where lack of optimization is obvious. Optimized doesn't mean "easy to run at high fps."

Over 300 FPS on Ultra settings using a laptop with a RTX-2060.

Um.... Go to pretty much ANY forum for a AAA game this year and you'll find complaints about it being the worst optimized game. Meanwhile, that complaint is fairly low on the list here...

Any game with worse optimisation on launch? That easy!

MSFS 2020
FSX
Just Cause 4
Kerbal Space Program
Cyberpunk
Xcom 2
Witcher 1
Gothic 3
Xcom 2

Just off the top of my head. If I looked at my game list it would be a LOT longer

I think I see the problem right there. Buying a computer just to play a single game is stupid. Don't do it. I did buy a new computer, but I needed a new computer anyway. No problem with that. But the idea that you spent $2000 to buy a new computer to run Starfield is stupid. My new computer is there so I can do other stuff, other games for the next ten years, and other stuff that is not gaming.

I am happy with 60FPS. I can get more, but I turn it down just to avoid contributing to climate change with GPU cores running hotter than the surface of the sun! It's far more important to get a solid stable 60fps than an inconsistent 144fps.

And finally, this is a Bethesda game. NO ONE PAYS $2000 TO GET SUPREME OPTIMIZATION FROM A BETHESDA GAME! I mean, duh!

Is there an actual industry standard that states what a perfectly optimized game is?
