Humor me and start a new character (with the mod disabled) to see if it was the mod having baked bad data into your save or if its something else. ... That way we can see whether Starfield is more forgiving of removing mods than Beth's older games were.
Try disabling DEI. :P

I have about 75+- mods with a couple being inactive because I'm waiting for them to be updated, but even so, that's still a lot to try and figure out what the culprit is.
I also loaded an older save and it had the same problem. I even loaded a save, right before you can create your own character, so in theory that should be clean.
