Sorry Sarah, but if the Terrormorphs taught us nothing else, its that we can't 'trust the science.' Plus Aceles are awesome.
Well you can see them on planets afterwards. I guess just not in large herds maybe. But yeah you will start seeing them right away on the settled systems. Cool looking.
Oh OK. I must have missed them. I was very disappointed.

There's actually at least one type of radiant quest associated with them as well. Just a simple guard mission, so nothing too exciting, but it exists.
Never chose the microbes myself, because genocide microbes don't sound like a particularly safe solution, regardless of how low the dangerous mutation chance is.
