I found the above Guide, and a couple of others which give Permanent Increases in skills or abilities... i.e. the above provides PERMANENTLY REDUCES FALL DAMAGE BY 5%.

Do You Automatically gain the Benefit... or do you have to activate it? If so, I can't figure out how. Also... Do you need to keep the item on you; or can You store away?

You gain it right away and you can sell the item.

Oh, and, as you'll eventually find more, some of those recurrently: They don't stack if you read them again. Each guide gives you the buff only once.

Make sure you pay attention to the issue number, as there are multiple copies.
