My Heller cutter disappeared

I know I didnt sell it and Ive checked everywhere. Then i bought a cutter from the vendor and it disappeared from my inventory immediately. Anmy suggestions and otherwise any advice on a good cutter to buy.

Something is broken with your save ... however all cutters are the same, except for Hellers.

Well, I'm taking you at your word that you didn't accidently sell or put Heller's cutter in a chest somewhere and that when you buy a cutter from a vendor it really does 'poof' out of your inventory immediately.


Items don't simply do that so your save is broken somehow, and the first troubleshooting step is going through your mod list and whether you've used the console to change anything.

As for whether it's 'fixable' ... that depends entirely on what broke it, if your lucky rolling back to a prior save will fix whatever glitches out (close and restart the game) ... but that only applies if you aren't using mods, ect...

I accidentally sold mine. I was clicking too fast while offloading and didn't realize what I had done until later and now I can't remember where I sold it because I had to go to so many vendors to sell all the stuff I had in my inventory.

I can't craft a cutter either so modders please consider a way to craft Heller's cutter.

basically, all cutters are the same. hellers is blue and does an extra point of damage to robot enemy, which make up about 0.01% of all enemy. Since its a cutter, you wouldnt ever use it to fight, so the buff is irrelevant.
The game has many bugs; Ive lost things as well and run no mods or console commands. Revert the save or find another one; any mining camp on any planet has them, as do some vendors like ore sellers.

My Main character and an alt character are both missing Hellers cutter. I use no mods or no console either but Im hoping Bethesda would fix these bugs.

Well every mine has a cutter, so before long you will find another Cutter that is also the most powerful weapon in the game.

Yes the cutter is the most powerful weapon in the game because at max lazers perk, you proc burn. Cutters can proc burn about 12 times per second and it stacks.

Mine disappeared for a bit one time. It was after I switched ships. Even though all my cargo and captain storage said it transferred, I was unable to find Heller's Cutter until I switched back to the original ship. It was weird. I take everything out of my captain's safe before I switch now.

Only your cargo hold will be transfered if you switch ships. Every other container keeps its items.
If you modify your ship everything will be placed in the cargo hold after accepting the changes.
And I think if you sell a ship everything from that ship will be placed into your cargo hold.

NG+ solves the problem, and cutter is pretty much useless, only time you need it is when you collect artifacts

Oh a cutter disappeared......
I had a complete outpost with 200 + storage containers and a few chests filled with weapons disappear, a few 500k + ships and an op gold weapon.

It looks like alot of items go missing. Im saying this to Bethesda, Do you not care? To fix it? You got our money and didnt give us a game functioning to the simpliest of standards. I like the game but this makes it impossible to play.
