I do not know of anyway to look at the Hab connections to see how the doors will act in them. I have had some Habs not even be accessible and it still passed the Modification warning. :P Trial and error has been the way I got what I wanted. If anyone knows of a different method, I would love to know it.
Yeah I can make no ladder ships but tried to keep Razorleaf fairly similiar , I just figured using companionways would force the only ladder spot , but I can put back to original form if need be.
Well good luck on your building adventures. They need to add a way so the player can preview the inside of your ship before you finalize a Hab change. Also the cargo being transferred all the time when you make a simple change, is ridiculous.
Every time that happens, you end up with a bunch of useless additional crap in your storage, like the other day, I checked and had 70 barbells. Which weigh 10 each. Who the hell would need 70 barbells on a ship? ;p I ended up selling the useless crap, which can build up a lot if you do a lot of changes to your ship.
And yeah, you can get no warning from the ship builder and yet end up with a sucky Hab layout.
They also need is a way to add stairs inside habs, especially the round ones, I made a 6 story hab but had a ton of those 2 story ugly green ones all over the place.
I will try bottom up but I figured companionway to companionway would do it, and it did but wasn't expecting the companionway to block a door and then force a 2nd set of ladders to get to it.
Thanks. But I know that. It still does not address the issue of not being sure how the doors will be for the Habs.
