The magstorm is limited to only 2 mods for some reason. Typically I save this for the boss but I had so much ammo saved up for "Revelation" I had it out early to take out the numerous Starborn minions. It was fun XD

If you're not concerned about performance, you should just go with whichever gun you think is cooler :D
Magshear is cheaper to operate and is just as good. I prefer the Va’Ruun Inflictor. Doesn't burn through 10K ammo in every fire-fight and does great damage.
My MagSniper is supposed to do 1258 damage. Yet it I find the Hard Target .50 cal sniper rifle at around 600 damage to be more effective. It take 3 MagSniper rounds to do what two Hard Target rounds do.
(Both are fully upgraded.)
It only does like 1/3rd damage if you don't charge it up.
(Hard Target is better if sneak attacking for sure though.)
Hold the trigger til the gun shakes. Let go of trigger to fire.
Same. The Va'runn weapons are awesome.
