Was this game's target audience 50+?
Trying to enjoy this game like a Bethesda game but damn there are a lot of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ menus. I am not willing to give this a negative review yet but I am level 7 in about 5 hours and I guess I am just bored, because the characters are all just dreadfully uninteresting.

It really feels like they are trying to make this as close to reality as humanly possible, but, this feel like I am driving to a work site with some 40 year old woman when I guess I think I should feel like a space captain with my crew.

I am not asking for shock value either, but nah, I guess I am but not that much, just like Skyrim edginess, is there at least some Dark Brotherhood stuff going on?

I am looking at the dialogue, feels like really this game's target audience must be 30-79 years old or something, I guess I don't mind but damn bro, is this the whole game like this? This like beyond vanilla. Do we get at least a tiny bit of edginess? Betrayal? Game choices?

Even in children's movie, there are like dead parents. Please tell me there is at least some edge in this game. I don't know if I can take going through the menus back and forth like this without at least something to look forward to.

Corporations do tend to target demographics who have money.

It is a type of game which requires patience. So you are correct OP. :)

I'm 63 years old and agree, prudishness is the one thing that seems to stand out in this game, I'm smelling moral cowardice, or a Karen manager.

Some long number of years ago, I bought a small boat. I decided to use to to make some extra money driving it around. I mean, what could be better, right? Already love driving my boat around, and if I can get someone else to pay for the gas... so I got a coast-guard issued "Six Pack" license, meaning I can carry up to 6 paying passengers at a time. Great!

Fast-forward a couple years - I now own a water-taxi company and fleet of small boats, and pay other people to drive them for me. My skin crawls when someone asks for a ride. It's like somehow this turned into work. I bet every single space captain has rolled out of their bunk, sighed a heavy sigh as they press "Brew" on their Coffee-o-Matic and start pulling on their uniform of the day too.

There is a fair bit of shadiness going on all around if you look for it. There's a certain colony leader, for example... who is one big spoiler, you'll figure it out soon enough.

I haven't gone looking for the edge yet. I'm content scanning every square inch of every round object I find. I haven't touched the main storyline since I dropped Sarah back off at the Lodge. More interested in the universe than the humans that infest it.

This would explain the childish rage they display when they see other people enjoying different toys than them.

That's quite possible.

Hey OP fyi if you chose a sarcastic option, your <companion name> will dislike that. You MUST be kind, happy, and optimistic.
