Power From Beyond game breaking bug

You get the quest but the marker won't appear and you don't get a landing site on whichever planet it's supposed to be on, meaning you'll never be able to reasonably find the temple. No way to fix it after the quest generates so unless you have a hard save from before you finished the last temple you're just boned.

Save and reload. Or jump out and back again. Its just an UI bug.

That doesn't work in this case, at least not for me on Xbox Series X.

I have it with "Power from Beyond Skink", as many people do. At the time I first got it, I had several other power sites to also do which I completed first(as well as other quests and such.) So I had made a lot of progress before I actually tried to do Skink.

There is no fast travel option to the anomaly landing spot, nor any anomaly landing spot at all. So I actually have to go to the Starmap and manually select the planet "Skink."

I have landed on Skink in about 50 different places and then ran around, having no luck(of course.)

I have tried all of the suggestions from people having the same problem, in many of the threads here and on Reddit regarding this issue. Those suggestions include things like the previous poster said, such as saving and reloading/restarting the game, doing other quests, and trying again later, etc. None of them have worked and I'm still not getting any anomaly spot or option to fast travel for "Power from Beyond Skink."

I'm level 62 and have not gone into NG+ yet because I want to get all the powers in the regular game first, since they GROW each time you get them. I have run out of quests to do, with mainly just having "Power from Beyond Skink" and the final "Unity build the thing on your ship" quests left.

I still have SIX powers left to get(including the one on Skink) but Vladimir doesn't have more "Power from Beyond" quests for me; he says something about not finding anything yet.

I have landed on Skink now so many times, on every part of the planet. It seems impossible to find it this way. I have run around and found SO MANY other "unknown" things and have possibly seen all of the different types.

This part of the game seems broken, with other people saying they just give up and go into NG+ without getting the final power(s), but you SHOULD be able to get them since it is part of the game.

While not doing this, I'm doing mission board missions and killing the "Freebooter" or whatever on X planet and then selling all of that junk at The Den. Since I'm waiting for 48 hours to be able to sell to the vendor again for his 11K, multiple times, I'm spending many in-game days doing this but Vladimir still doesn't come up with the other 5 "Power from Beyond" sites.

It is my hope that having another "Power from Beyond" to do might somehow fix the problem with Skink, but I'm not getting another one to do. At this point, I'm thinking about not playing the game until this is patched.

I'll never believe anyone when they say a game is their most "bug-free ever" when it has problems like this. This is not doing anything weird or different, but rather just playing the game normally and trying to get the powers you are supposed to be getting. So it should have been thoroughly bug-tested.

I gave up playing entirely because of this exact bug. Whilst everybody was busy doing 10 NG+ runs for power upgrades I decided to stick with playing my first playthrough properly, only to find out I can't even get all the powers in one playthrough thanks to this bug that STILL is not fixed.

Bethesda are the biggest disappointment ever.

Trust me, this isn't my first rodeo with a Bethesda game, I tried those things before I posted this. I tried everything short of messing around in the console commands to force the game to work since it also disable achievements.

If I was to guess at the cause I think the triggers are messed up for this quest since the only real fix so far is reloading a save from before you received it. I suspect it just doesn't generate the temple POI correctly sometimes so you end up soft-locked on "Power From Beyond ..." until you NG+.

Yeah, that's one of the many buggable quests.
