Thank you very much for this.
Obviously, make sure you have thermal protection and some burn healing aid if you intend to actually explore the planet, unless you of a high enough level/ skill to not be bothered by environmental damage.
this but go to vendors
Console command.
player.additem f 100000000
Make adaptive frames until your cargo is full, easier with a macro. Find vendor with a larger wallet and a chair/couch to 'wait' until wallet refills. Sell away. Rinse/repeat, enlarge storage towers as needed. Also good for xp farming.
Money becomes fairly pointless pretty quickly in Starfield even without $$/xp farming. Especially once you're into ng+. Once you have a decent ship with decent cargo space you're pretty much done. Other than buying ammo/med paks/digipicks (which you don't need to buy anymore by midgame) the vendors quickly become useless other than as a place to dump loot. The good weapons and armor will be free in loot or from the storyline. Eventually you won't even bother with most looting, only taking rares.
The economy system in Starfield needs some work.
Kill everyone and loot all bodies and containers.
Modify as many weapons and armor pieces as you can (to raise skill and price).
Sell everything.
Repeat.
You can also take Terminal Pirate Bounty Space Missions and acquire enemy ships and sell them.
Or you can do the boring Story Missions
i loot and sell. neon is good for a nice sum every now and then from contraband - void form and loot the jail, then run up to trade and sell it ... run around and do that at other cities too. one-of-a-kin has elliptic camp that always has contraband - i get anywhere from 4 to over 15 there sometimes. but loot and sell gets me more. i'm ng 10 now, took me abt 2 hours to be over 400k, now I don't really need a lot ... so i just accumulates
I stole a ship - a prophecy 2, upgraded it ...I don't buy ships.
imo, credits are plentiful. take ships and their contraband. sell them.
