If you can manage to smuggle with a shielded cargo, you can even sell contraband on the Trade Authority kiosks. Although the 5K credits probably won't be enough for more than 2-3 items.
Also if you become a pirate, EVERY store in the key will buy them gladly, including the medical supplier.
Also if you're about to get scanned by mistake, jump as fast as you can. You will get a small bounty, but won't lose the contraband.
I thought I tried selling contraband at the den and couldn't but who knows. You can join the pirate faction and sell it at their hideout, though.
Nice idea, thanks.
Is it easy to steal it back?
Also, going to jell equals losing XP?!
If you do not pay the fine, yes
I did not fast travel "onto" Mars, I fast traveled from a location on Mars to the Mars landing zone.
is the first thing i do, i remember about red mile planet people are not involved with any factions, like pirate, but i was going inside the bar, but cannot find anyone to talk about contraband stuff XD
Actually trying to smuggle the goods is a pointless waste of time that makes no sense because it would require you to buy shielded cargo at the red mile/key and then go through a %scan to sell the goods to a vendor who offers the exact same price as any other vendor as all sell prices for contraband are flat.
Really contraband is more of a pain than anything else as you will pretty soon realize that selling guns and armor you loot will get you more money beyond the extremely early game without having to worry/be annoyed by ship scans. I would recommend just ignoring/trashing contraband unless you have access to the key.
