Bethesda support doesn't care at all
So, without going into too much detail, I am having a lot of the game breaking issues a lot of you are having. My ship door is stuck on "inaccessible", Constellation members are M.I.A., Piloting exam door is stuck closed, the Armillary screen is blank and I cant progress to the unity. All that and a few more. The thing is, I don't know when the problem started and I don't have a game save within oh say, 25 levels or so and who knows how many missions to fall back on. Once I told the support person that wasn't an option, I got 3 emails in succession telling me that they were "escalating" the ticket. It has been 4 days since I submitted that original ticket. I did what any sane person would do, I opened a new ticket that got immediately closed by support! I do mean immediately. It was less than 5 minutes for them to tell me to basically f-off but its been 4 days since I've heard from anyone trying to help. So yea... They either don't give a sh*t about the one guy in their 10 million other customers or, they don't actually know how to fix their broken game. This is just a rant that I really hope gets some traction to snap them into doing something other than gloat about their sales numbers.

They took our money and ran.

they probably closed your ticket because you had one open already waiting to get reviewed by their likely woefully understaffed customer support people

That being said, just how many mods have you installed?

100%. They don't care about the little guys. So long as the you-tubers they pay to hype it up keep drawing in the numbers... they don't have to do squat for the 1 or 1,000 people in 10 mil.

zero mods

I'm like 75% sure it started when I completed the Over designed quest chain and couldn't fly the ship because I was only class A at the time. The quest to collect your new ship never went away and, I was never able to collect the ship from the Freestar chain either

Wow, I'm surprised. I've ruined Bethesda games with overmodding, otherwise haven't had too many issues with Starfield in particular. Figured going crazy with mods was the problem.

No sense in any kind of reasonable reply because you're just going to keep believing whatever fits the narrative you've chosen. Well done.

What narrative? This is just facts here. How can you interpret moving a query for help to the side for 4 days without so much as a "we are working on it" base touch?

Honestly.. I'm just hoping this post gets kicked around enough that someone, somewhere in Bethesda notices that it's fan base is angry about them not even talking about trying to fix these things. They might be trying.. but how about they acknowledge the problems at least?

If 10 million people are playing the game, how many people would they have to employ to do individual support? 100,000?

Get serious.

The answer would be "enough". alternatively, fix it when it breaks, or... don't release it if its broken. Pick your poison here. It wouldn't take 2 minutes for one guy from the "specialized team" to touch base and say "hey... we know this is an issue and we are trying to figure it out." That didn't happen. Just radio silence. And, furthermore... these aren't new issues. Some basic searching says they have been happening for weeks. So I ask you this.. does it seem like they care? That's the basic message here.

I think we're being a little too sensitive. If the issues you are encountering are common enough then gahd knows how many tickets they have to go through. It's quite possible they are looking at numbers in the millions.

That is the point though. If there are tickets in the millions, an announcement of acknowledgement of the problem and a promise that they are working on a solution would go a long, long way. I'm not saying that I have expected a 1 on 1 problem solving event. Though.. after 4 days you would think there would have been an attempt. I didn't even say an extra word for the first 4 days. At some point you have to ask yourself if you think that this premium priced, AAA game should come with a guarantee that it will work from start to finish or, they will work on fixing it. Do I think they are working on a solution. I don't doubt it. Do I think they are working on my personal solution. No. If they were, I would have expected them to say that they were at least trying. Which they have not. And that is the point here. Not do they care about me personally.. but us as a collective whole. I don't doubt for a second that I'm alone in this boat. I'm just mad enough right now to post about it.
