Game breaking bug at the Lock (Prison shuttle door closed)

I am trying to leave the prison in the warden's ship however no matter what I do the door to the shuttle will not open.

1. I have tried restarting the mission from landing on the planet.
2. I tried restarting from the previous quest to meet the king (Del)
3. I tried restarting to my oldest save which was aboard the UC battleship before I even tracked down the Traitor to the Crimson fleet. I can't get this ship landing door to open.

At this point I am like 230 hours into my game, I am level 79 and I havnt even touched the Freestar collective or the main campaign and it seems my only option is to reload before the quest and no to do this quest line.

Does anyone know a way to get off planet without using console commands at this point?

same here, same bug. just loaded the last save that was 4h ago and ignored the quest...

sucks though, I might have found mod that fixes it. I'll let you know if I find a solution.

I figured out a work around. You need a power boost pack, climb the walls and theres one spot that is high enough behind the shuttle where you can get up real high jump off the ledge and use the boost pack to climb out. Enter the ship you took here and the mission will update as if you got into the prison shuttle.

This just happened to me. I went back up the stairs and into the Barracks, which is a different interior cell than the hangar. Then I saved my game and quit to desktop. Restarted the game, loaded the save, went back into the hangar, and the ramp was open and I was able to access the ship and fly out.

Of course the super annoying thing is most of the crew that was on my real ship was dismissed when the stupid shuttle became my Home Ship, and the no-name Specialists are gone altogether.

I'm trying to like this game, I really am, but it just keeps fighting me at every turn.

Can anyone help describe this route in more detail? I'm stuck, boosting off the ice/rocks but can't get high enough to grab the ledge
