Best cockpit for situational awareness?
I prefer a fast A or B class ship. Loving Deimos, but it seems like the small Hopetech cockpit gives you the greatest view. What do others reckon? (Only interested in the small cockpits at this stage.)

i personally prefer Viking CP-220 cockpit, it has largest cargo/weigh ratio having 280 cargo with 15 weight and also has 4 crew stations.
sure if you do not need 280+ cargo there is lighter options

What's the view like? Especially in a dogfight?

Yeah that's what I'm settling on ATM. Kind of closest vibe I can get to the Millennium Falcon.

I just captured a CF Ghost that has the backing. I need to get to a Ship Svcs Location and see what that piece is. I have been using a Deimos Cowling backing in previous games.

Any cockpit?

Your 'situational awareness' is already marked out for you with lovely white, blue or red arrows on the HUD.

Two dimensional representation of a three dimensional problem. Try running from multiple ships sometime. I mistakenly jumped into a system, with a LOT of enemy ships, tried to turn and run, but, constantly found myself right back where I started...... simply because I couldn't tell how far stuff was behind me, or if it even really WAS behind me, or just off to that side.
