bleed effect

I keep getting shot by random pos weapons but i get applied a bleed effect where i spurt blood for like 5 secs with 0 notifications.

what is this skill and how do i get it so I can apply this to the bad guys?

Some rare/epic/legendary guns have a "Lacerate" effect applied that causes bleeding.

You can also get flechette rounds for a shotgun that does it as a mod as well, possibly other guns too, I have not played around with anything but shotguns.

The bleeding can be cured with things like bandages and some other Aid items, btw

its not the bleeding triangle status tho its just applied by like every guy with a reg gun no mods. its either a skill i cant find or just some buff they give to the npcs at higher levels.

The problem with getting shot and suffering the bleeding effect is that when you finally kill the shooter and take his weapon it does not have lacerate or flechette rounds as a feature. If i got a gun that had that after suffering the effect then it would be understandable.
