How do i connect drill to storage boxes ? [Solved]

I can't find instructions on how to connect the drill to my storage boxes. How is that done ?

click or hover over the drill and click make output link, make sure you're trying to connect it to the right type of storage or it wont work.

I'm not getting that message. All it says is "Remove Contents". No other menu option is showing.

are you sure you have the right type of storage available?

You need to hold down the key not click it to go into modify mode. Alternatively when in build mode hit tab to change it from build to modify. While in that mode you can right click on the drill and then a container to create a link.

How it is done depends on what platform you are on. For PC, you need to be in outpost mode, not normal exploration mode. Then you hit TAB to switch to modify mode. Then you right click on your extractor. Then you right click on your storage. Link made.

E if you use a keyboard or whatever the button is to interact with stuff hold that down while interacting with the drill.

Yeah i watched a video on it. The guy said it's a little buggy.

Open Outpost Builder.
Tab to hide build menu.
Right Click on Extractor.
Mouseover Container. Press E.
Done.

i didn't know the buttons because i use a controller.

The video i watched on the process showed a red line going across the screen to connect. I did not get a red line but it did connect to the storage.
