The Crucible

In finally got the breadcrumb for the Crucible mission while doing the Freestar ranger quests. It spawned in a very high level system (dunno if its always in the same place).

Its another one where the story could have been so much better if it was written by an experienced sci-fi fan fiction writer who had read a sci-fi novel or two and maybe watched some Star Trek. But that's neither here nor there..

I just wanted to say, be careful with this one. At one point, having to descend in a deep dungeon (facility) dive, I came upon the nest of the 'boss'... a level 80+ beastie. I emptied my clip into some of his low level buddies but daddy charged forward and one-shot killed my character with a single chomp.

Now, I'm a casual gamer whimp and play at lower levels, so my level 40ish character is more than a match usually for anything I've found so far. So it was quite a shock to be instantly killed so dramatically. So, just be careful with that one. The big critter is in a sort of pit in the next room so I'm just going to lob explosives in there and at least clear out his lil buddies...
