Possibly even being forced to change serial numbers on parts of ships that were registered to someone else.
There was this one time I stole a crappy ship that had nobody in it, then I changed my mind and reloaded, turns out the owner of the ship was walking around, I just didn't see him. So I don't know for sure.
I'll tell you that ship boarding is wonky however, I boarded hostile ships and security guards appeared inside, they were hostile and shot at me, I shot back and my companion got upset I killed them. So who knows, bugs, intended, I sure don't.
I currently have a security detail in the last ship (Va'Ruun) I stole.
All ships in the future are made by KIA
so I'm not missing something then? I was like, where is this stuff that you just mentioned lol.
seems like it should be in base game for how long it's been and this isn't the first rodeo for the company.
Like where the hanger where we are working on our falcon, and it's half build, but just being able to save a design seems basic. The interface for what is needed/missing seems clunky
there probably should be a taxi service, because the entire steal ship/home ship thing was clunky for me, much rather have to catch a taxi where I left my other ship after I stole one. Even have some risk that it could be stolen but using a transponder could track it down and could have a bunch of side events based off of that. wait xxx days, have it at risk for being stripped for parts, like what comes around goes around, karma sucks.
Yeh the one I got was near a supply train. I am guessing it was their ship as a lot of people around. A lot of the ships I can just unlock the door using digipick. I don't have any mods that change gameplay, so maybe you are just getting unlucky.
I wasn't ever that lucky yet. Your timing must have been very good, I once boarded a ship when the supposed occupants were busy fighting outside - and still: there were 3 NPCs onboard.
But I need to add: Contrary to the PC port, the XBox version comes without notable bugs.
