Thanks guys.
All three anomaly sites were in a row to the west from the landing site, and the final destination was to the south east.
Yes thank you. I would never have noticed that without you pointing it out via this vid. now I can actually finish that quest.
Generally its easy to see, if you can't see over trees jump up on your ship...if you still cant see it look for a mountain type area it's probably there.
And what do you mean by "the directions"? You are simply told to investigate the anomalies, not even that there is more than one site.
It's hard to be nice on this one but I'll try.
So it's SCANNER not SCAN THE... Big difference. The text directions clearly state to look for the distortions and follow them. Not run around the planet and scan things...
You land at the scanner anomaly site and then get out and walk in the direction of the greatest distortion. Soon you will see a temple.
When I get inside, and turn the scanner back on, the arrows point outside. Does that mean that I want to go back outside (because that doesn't do anything)? Or am I supposed to do something inside? There are many bright points that look like stars on the interior surfaces. There is the multiple helix thing, do I do something with that? I've gone all over the interior of the temple: nothing happens. Do I need a higher skill level in Surveying or something?
You don't need the scanner once inside, just head toward centre of room, chase sparkly bits like a cat chases a laser pointer.
edit: I went back and persisted some more. Get real close to the pulsing nebula thing and manage to stay there for a few seconds and it works!
