Op has, what I call, a classic CoD PC build. Upgrade the video card only doesn't fly for everything these days.

At least it's not another thread complaining they can't launch the game because they lack avx

Turn this off and the stutter will go away (FPS will drop as it will shade every scene 100%)

Hopefully you will get a patch in 1-2 months from now.

What you are experiencing is not normal, perhaps it is not the game issue. I don't have any stutter at all. Post your hardware specs, do you use any 3rd party software like asus armoury crate?

i think its good advice for him to see what is causing the stuttering himself. by looking at how his CPU% is constantly slamming the 100%
that way he can identify the problem by himself

But am i dont right? when i say, they can fix this with a patch?`i mean for the GPU they have several grafic options. but for the CPU they have nothing like less "range of view" or something.

and they can also balance the performance of background scripts and engines via patch.
how can it be, that my skyrim VR and Fallout VR works even in VR and Monitor and stream smooth, but not starfield, if they use the same engine?
and games like red dead redeption 2, which has more details and nearly everything more, works smooth 60FPS on my PC too.

and again the link where i posted, it say: DEACTIVATE THE CORE 0 and it works better.
it has nothing to do with buy better CPU or use more power or get faster PC or what ever. The Point is: BY DEACTIVATING, IT WORKS BETTER !!!
What is so hard to understand that this is not a Performance problem. Starfield has an optimization problem.

And i will not allow trollos to say, its because you bought the wrong hardware. Because like i said, if bethesda wants, they can fix all the Problems with only 1 Patch.
I want the communitcation, will they fix it or does the game stay unplayable. if yes i want my money back lol. Its not fair to wait the community fix all of this by Mod.
Do you know what deactivation core 0 mean and does? I bet not. You clearly have no clue about pc's and how hardware works. I dont want to be rude, but man...
No patch ever will fix your game as you are running below min specs and under required cores.
The only way for you is by upgrading that ancient cpu.
And pls dont keep this comparing different games with different engines as we found out that you have no clue what you are talking about. Unfortunately.

I hate the fact that you need a pissing hot graphics card to run the game, I get that they want it to be good quality but they should have made it work for those who don't have top of the line graphics cards. I can't even play because it is very laggy in the major cities. This just went from a $70 game to a $770 game real quick and I'm not pleased.

I hear what you are saying, but did you turn everything down to low. I mean all games will eventually step up in graphics, especially for PC and you will need to upgrade therefore you are not really upgrading just for Starfield. If this bothers you then sorry to say ,but PC gaming may not be for you, that is what consoles are for. People who dish out for top hardware may be just as upset as you ,if they released something that works well on older or weaker hardware - those games sure will not deliver the graphics to satisfy that part of the community.

ours(hubby and i have identical systems) is ryzen 5 5600x 6 core , gpu is borderline RX 6700 XT, 32gb, 1 tb NVME m.2 and i definitely have an 850 PSU... we were going to upgrade the GPUs if we encountered issues with this or BG3, but nope, both run perfectly fine. i actually play BG3 in ultra, haven't gone beyond high for this, since i do know i'd be pushing it. people don't get, that just because you can play one game, doesn't mean you can get away with playing another, because there are so many variables and different engines. actually.. i think mine has the faster ram, one difference between our systems, been almost 2 years since i did my current build.

My primary drive is a nvme x4 Samsung pro. Also a 4tb wd black hdd for low end games and storage.

Luckily my pain is a hold over but a Corsair hx850

ironically, considering this dude's issue... i was getting black screened constantly in games and no one could figure out the issue. so, since it had been about 5 years since the last time we upgraded(due to someone taking a screw driver to my CPU, long story and not me), i ended up replacing everything, including the case(was using an ancient antec900) piece by piece... ended up being a core on my then ryzen cpu. now since i upgraded, hubby had to as well... i swear he plans it.

I've got no mods, and I'm having the issue, but it started only -after- the 1.7.33 update.

7800X3d / 7900 XTX / 64G ram, G4 NVME SSD.

It's not the specs.

It's the game.

Lol and your problem has been fixed by many others with that problem.... but I'm guessing you couldn't figure it out. But since it's the games fault; I wont bother telling you the simple fix.

I've done clean installs, updated all drivers, updated windows, turned off FSR, set Starfield as high priority task, moved the install folder to a different SSD and BACK to the one on which the OS is at, capped framerate, run on a different monitor with a lower native resolution, started the game over entirely, and the problem persists.

All that, combined with the fact that the issue appeared immediately after and ONLY AFTER the 1.7.33 patch indicates that -it's the patch-.

Been tempted to give AMD a try, but never do. 14700k is my next upgrade. Maybe a 1000w seasonic or Corsair 80+ PSU.

I made the swap on my last build, been pretty happy with the amd cpu

been building with amd since the early 2ks, we did used to switch back and forth with the gpus, but now with how they tie in and boost with sticking fully amd, not used a nvidia in a long time. besides we had a lot of bad luck with the nvidias, it can go either way with either brand, some people have bad experiences with the radeons. it really comes down to cost and preference, the one we both agree on is never going intel.

To fix the stuttering you have to have a computer that meets the specs the gam e has listed.
