When I launch into space there's no ship

I see my hud, I can hear the guns firing. But there is no ship and I can't do anything other than press tab and fast travel to a planet again.

Hi Ryzzingsun, I had this problem too last night. It only gets worse if you swop out to a another of your ships as then I could not even enter the ship. So frustrating.

forgot to ask. Are you running mods? I initially thought this was because of mods until it was still happening even after they're removed

after some investigation it appears that this issue might be linked to the fact that my ship is modded to operate outside of the limitations set by the game. I hadn't had an issue for several days though so idk

i have no ship mods installed but i get the same issue.

At around 100 hours into the game I became invisible, and so did the ship I was in! :) Fortunately, the blue thingy for sitting in the captain's chair was still visible, so I sat in it and then pressed X to get out. :)

I just got this problem.

Loading an old save doesn't work.
I have no mods.
Exit the game and reload the save, but doesn't work.
Is there anything I can try?

Zoom out, to see whole ship.
Hold E key to 'get up' out of chair, to see inside ship.

so when i zoom out I can't see anything at all. It's like I am frozen. The ship isn't there and I am not moving. I can hold E but then I'm just staring at a blank screen because it doesn't transition to the interior of the ship like it should.

but what happened after that? I can't even interact with the ship or see anything. As i mentioned in my reply above this one I can exit the seat, but even still I can't see anything ship related.

Try these:

Restore vanilla game.
Rebuild shaders.
Stop using command console.

I was fortunately on the ground, and everything worked well after that. In space, you might want to tab to a destination.
