Sanctum Universum Pilgrim ship encounter

Was jumping to visit Sal's house and got hailed by this ship, and the game just locked up on me on the receiving message hail, had to quit out manually and do a file check. Really dumb thing, I hope it's not a game breaking bug running into this ship before the game expects it.
