NWN2: Mask of the Betrayer, it wasn't traveling to a split reality, but shifting between the Material Plane and the Plane of Shadow, the latter of which is, like the Ethereal Plane, a transitive plane that overlaps the former.
One of my favourites also :D
There are console commands to use - usually setstage <questID> <stage#>. You'll probably have to look it up, but be careful, because skipping around in quests can mess things up.
Different strokes for different folks I guess.
P.S. I also liked Mask of the Betrayer. And I for one am glad that games are made that appeal to a variety of people, instead of only just you. There's enough games made every year that it is perfectly okay if each of us do not like some of them.
