I followed the instructions to the letter in order to be able to save both universes, but after degausing both of them with only the idicated switches, the game should have left me to enter the calibrations in each one. Instead it gives the error: All Power Interlocks must be engaged before initiating Frequency Calibration. Why?

Did you click the switches twice? You need to click them once to degauss then again to switch them back on.
