Starfield beat Baldur's Gate 3 in sales and it wasn't even a close competition. Starfield is 7th in the year, Baldur's Gate 3 is around 40 or 50.
But I guess if a research firm told you it’s true, then it must be true.
Oh, wow. Crazy. What service did they buy it on? It obviously wasn’t Steam, with just 330k consecutive player max. So where? How can BG3 have gotten almost triple the consecutive max players, as well as currently being #2 top seller with Starfield as #32, and yet Starfield got way more sales, with PC being the majority of those sales, apparently? So the “it’s on Xbox” argument would account for under 50%, since PC is the dominant sales source, which would mean >50%.
But that’s so weird, cuz it’s like Steam has over 75% of the PC gaming sales market. So where did all the figures come from to account for such a massive difference between BG3 Steam sales and Starfield Steam sales? It’s almost like it’s not theoretically possible for BG3 to be #40-50 if Starfield is #7.
Are you following? Is this too hard to think about?
I'm so sorry this is happening to you, but a simple "Reeee" will suffice next time. You don't need to spew such nonsense, lmao.
Fix'd it for you.
But just in case you have two neurons to rub together, let me explain how the top seller chart works.
If The #1 Game sells 10,000,000 Copies in the first week, it is number 1, and if the #2 Game sells 40 copies it is number two.
Now if the #2 game continues to sell 40 copies every week, but the former Number 1 game only sells 10, after 10 weeks, which games are now ranked 1 and 2 for the weekly charts, and which one overall has sold more?
Put on your thinking cap.
