How to find the Hard Target?

I'm level 45 and I know this gun starts appearing on vendors after you reach 30-35, but are there any specific locations that have a higher chance of it spawning on enemies? I wanna find it myself and I've visited several locations at level 30 and beyond, but still nothing

To be honest, only ever used that rifle for long distance sniping. Use a legendary Beowolf fully loaded and it is my favorite gun in the whole game.

On a post-note:
You can simply savescam Centaurus in NA... ...it's a separate micromap location, so you should be able to simply reload the autosave that happens when you enter. The list of stuff offered for sale will be rerolled when you initiaiate the interaction or pull the "Whaddya got?" dialogue item.

Co reload that autosave and check the arrogant sales clerk until you find one in there.

You're correct. Kore sells the Mag guns. Didn't know Frank/Styx sold the Hard Target. I got mine from Denis the UC guy, Cydonia/ Mars

I looted my first Hard Target from an NPC during my stint as a Freestar Ranger, during one of the mission-specific battles. This was at level 60-ish, and I had not even seen one before that. Oddly enough, another cropped up in my inventory from who knows where not long after. I crafted one to the max and will sell the other, they give good coin.

There is a rare Hard Target called Last Breath you can buy if you are in NG+
Mysterious captain encountered in space is a Starborn who only sells to Starborn. If you met her during the first game she tells you it aint time yet.

You can find her as a random encounter in space. However it can take a while to get her to appear as a result. Also make sure you bring a PILE of credits, I think the rifle is 57 or 75k?

Am NG+7 and have never seen the Starborn Captain.

If you have the ressources, pimp it to the max, too, before you sell it... ...then it gives even better credit, Also even more than buying the ressources. And that is withoud the Commerce skill. 2min at the workbench => 100% value added => profit!

Or, to use the often-heard opposition phrase in space fights or when they finally realize you're sneaking around in their place: "Easy Credits!"

Weapon shop in Neon is the most likely vendor to sell them in my experience. I buy one every single NG+ and have never been let down.
