Same here. I wanted to be a pirate in my ng+. I still am pirating galbank ships and other lone ships in space but the game keeps forcing me to be a good guy on other things. This makes me feel more like a hypocrite than a pirate haha.

I wanted to play this game as a badass pirate like in the show "The Expanse", but the game feels like it was meant to be played by baby kids.

you can be a pirate but you'll have to be able to set your own goals, as there are very few crafted missions for that playstyle. Also, it makes more sense to either do the main mission or get all your artifacts/powers before you start playing a pirate. Most missions will force you up against freestar or UC and the bounties get so high you can't go near those systems any more
