Turns out there IS a reward for getting all of the Snow Globes in the game
So I've seen quite a few articles and forum posts that say there is "no reward" for finding all of the snow globes in the game. A ton of those articles also give incorrect numbers for how many snow globes there actually are to find in the first place though.

I made it my mission on my current NG+ playthrough to locate all 17 of them. And that's how many there actually are, 17. And I did get a 'reward' when reaching the 16th one. I actually still have one more to get over in Cydonia.

Anyway, the reward is an Old earth space suit, helmet and boostpack. They actually have very decent DR values. But no rarity bonuses at all, unfortunately. Here's what they look like:

Here's a shot of the front side by side. I didn't bother taking a shot of the back.

And here's the complete snow globe collection.

That's a tasteful suit, too. Like an astronaut.
Dont know about the suit but i did find the helmet in this exact color.... and legendary version somewhere during my gameplay.... used it for quite some time as it had dmg reduction if i recall correctly

What is it called? Ive found both "explorer" and "mercury" sets that look kindof like that.

Looks like the normal explorer set?

It's called what I called it in the original post "Old Earth". So it's an "Advanced Old Earth Spacesuit" an "Advanced Old Earth Power Pack" and an "Advanced Old Earth Space Helmet".

I'll take a few more shots the next time I'm playing, showing it in better lighting on a Mannequin, as well as include the mannequin "loot" list that shows it's DR rating and mass.

They are slightly different in appearance to everything else I've found in the game up to this point, and I've played over 400 hours. (as already mentioned, it's most similar to the "Explorer's Set". Nearly identical in appearance, but with slightly better DR values)

The biggest difference I'm noticing (going only off memory of the explorer's) is that the gloves look black/dark grey of this old Earth one, and I think explorer's are silver like the rest of the suit.

If you have a spare explorer's, a side by side with a mannequin would be great. I'm curious what else might be different. If the gloves are indeed different that might be enough for me to go for this suit, as I like the explorer's but hate the silver gloves in first person

Sadly, I can't compare them side by side because I have a texture and mesh override in place for the Explorer's set in my game. It looks VERY different now.
Which is actually another indicator that they are not "identical", because if they were surely Bethesda would not have used different textures and meshes for the Old Earth set and my existing Explorer's set overrides would be affecting it.

Oops, sorry didnt realize that was the actual name. It looks a little like the suit Simeon Bankowski has on default.

Why would an "Old Earth Spacesuit" have good DR values other than airborne and thermal resist?
Jaggid Edje Oct 18, 2023 @ 12:59pm
So I removed the texture/mesh override for the Explorer's Spacesuit/helmet/pack and put them side by side with the Old Earth ones on mannequins. The gloves were the only notable difference that I noticed on the suit. As @ jerrypocalypse observed already (above).

The helmet, I can't see any difference, but there could be a small detail that I'm missing. For the pack, it's also almost identical, with just some slight coloration difference on the controls/buttons.

Here's a shot of the front side by side. I didn't bother taking a shot of the back.

DR not ER. DR is the damage resist values, which are Ballistic/EM/Energy Resistences.

The ones you mention are ER (Environmental resistances). Those are also different than the Explorer's set, in terms of distribution, but the total (of all 4) environmental resistance is the same, whereas the total Damage Resistances values are higher on the Old Earth Set.
