Now I will become the worst Crimson Fleet pirate known in the settled systems.
MUHAHAHAHAHAHA!
I NG+'d pretty early and regretted it due to all companions basically vanished. I couldn't be arsed to befriend them again so I only run Vasco, Sarah and Adorable Fan. Now I don't care as much.
Because let's be honest; your outposts, equipment, and even ship aren't difficult to replace and the improved powers are nice.
NG+ is just the same game again. Sometimes with minor changes. Not like you'll have a whole unique questline and factors or anything.
But it sucks that all my stuff from my first Playthrough would be gone :D
If you do NG+ and follow the main story again you can prevent what happens in the A High Price to Pay story mission. Some times the lodge is... different after the first few NG+'s Think its after the 5th when you can start to get variations. a NG+ run takes about 90 mins or so to do if you skip main story, just find artifacts, find temples (Upgrades powers they go to lv 10) then go to final boss I believe is all you need to do if u skip main story.
My big complaint with ng+ is no reroll of skills.
I'd say go thru with main story quest just to prevent what happens in A High Price To Pay. Then take your time, as thats how you can see most of the content of the game. I mean unless you don't really care about who you lost.
Your skills max out at Rank (10) ... same as your Starborn armor (but the armor isn't as good as it seems because it takes all three slots) ... your ship maxes out at Rank (6) if I remember correctly but honestly a mundane ship you build is going to be better.
