Into the unknown - Follow the distortions on the scanner

Just wondering how widespread this bug of not seeing the scanner distortions or being able to progress past this point in the quest? Tried all means around the bug except the console method.

scanner up and do a very slow 360 until you pin point the strngest distortion... than simply walk to it.

i had no problems with that quest.

uh thats an artifact mission, it should have an icon

Vlad sends you after 2 kinds of objects
the Temples you get Powers from you find with the Scanner (Optional- not part of the main quest)
the Artifacts you use to complete the main quest should have mission markers

edit: its possible to have both on the same planet, make sure your tracking the right one

I have the same issue. No distortions. There is an icon for scanner anomaly with a blue quest icon over it but no temple. Its been 2 planets so far. One leads to an abandoned space colony and the other to an abandoned factory.

So i had that issue and it was tied to having a bugged ship. I had to load a save from before i got that ship to fix it.
