This bug happens in some specific maps.
I think this game makes the CPU(or GPU) even with that spec, making it overheat and shut down. The computer becomes inferno everytime I play this game.
After ripping out the cover of my PC and placing a commercial-use fan(yes I bought it to get through the summer) has stopped the blue screen incident.
I'm just baffled as anybody else
BSOD is not the game, what it mean is the game is accessing something which is broken/wrong on your system.
What is your actual BSOD error code?
Also try this, as it converts the dump file into something readable.

OP you need to do a MemTest86+ https://www.memtest.org/. After doing that for 12 hours report back if you get an errors.
Blue screen can generally happens due:
1. Memory/CPU instability (Voltages too low/high or clocks set to high). You can test this by disabling XMP/Set CPU to stock settings in your bios and run with it for a long gaming session (e.g 6 hours).
2. Failing hardware. This is difficult to test unless you have spare GPU/Memory kit you can swap out to.
3. Overheating issue (This should be easily if you have an overlay running at the time of the crash, if the CPU, GPU temp are fine and warm, then check the NVME and Memory temps. If those are fine then you can rule it out).
I also never use CPU Stock cooler, they are weak, you said you changed your cooling and bingo, no more problems.
Confirmed it was a proper cooling problem. ^^
after he had upgraded his memory to 32 gb it was way more playabl.
for overheating required more drastic measures like lowering his max fps to 30 to have the pc generate less stress which means less heat generated.
the game is utilizing alot of cores on your processor which also means it generating across the processor way more heat then some other game.
just because other games didnt stress your system as much as this one does doesnt mean it cant be the case.
if you got a second screen then to specify your issue more a program called cpuid hwmonitor is quite usefull. you could put it up on the second screen and watch voltages, temperatures and also usage of your pc components.
the bad part is it doesnt have an auto log which means if you would bluescreen and have just one screen you couldnt quickly glance at the second screen to see values.
This is an old thread, not sure why you dug it out of oblivion instead of creating you own thread to discuss your issue, or is it that you have no issue and just wanted to post your comment.
Meh, anyways.
BSOD are not caused by the game. The game may have been the thing that tripped the error but the game is not the cause. The is a problem with the software configuration on the users machine, drivers, firmware, OS patches, some software issue and it is brought to light by the game.
Here is a link from Microsoft which speaks about the WHEA error and in the comments the B350 chipset is mentioned.

I have not read the link I provided in it's entirety but I would advise the OP or anyone experiencing this issue to first look to updating their BIOS. Check your motherboard manufacturer for a BIOS update and apply it is necessary
I had WHEA Errors BSOD's and generic game freezing every 5-10s and sounds out of synch and breaking.
Got it finally fixed by uninstalling the game and re-installing on a fast USB drive (Samsung T7 1TB MU-PC1T0T) connected to a "red" SSD USB port on my PC.
After trying about everything I could find on the issue I started monitoring the SSD speeds using the TaskManager on my secondary screen. My PNY CS3140 Gen4 x4 2TD NVMe SSD was reading 100% basically all the time all the way from starting the game till the BSOD (typically around 7-10min). Then I decided to check what the actual speeds I was getting with the CrystalDiskMark and found out my SSD only operates on about the 1/2 of the speed my SSD specs say. My read speed should be around 7500MB/s but was only getting 3432MB/s. Seems my motherboard only supports M.2 Gen 3 speeds (MSI Gaming from 2018). So I assume the game makes some kind of prediction what your SSD speeds should be and keeps loading things at that rate even like in my case the hardware only provided half of the reading speed and of course data the SSD should be capable of providing.
NOTE I have no issues with other games I have installed on my NVMs SSD and also Starfield was working OK when I played it last time early spring so the SSD problem is something that has appeared in some of the latest updates.
Hope this helps someone out there,
