It's some sort of glitch.
I believe any ship module has some furniture/junk-esque things to make it seem a bit more real and "lived in", but whenever you edit ship parts or buy/sell ships, the engine creates another set of junk inside the ship while forgetting to delete the previous set of junk.
Luckily you can get rid of it at vendors by selecting "Sell from ship".
[edit] just had to sell 43 coffee mugs that had built up. so maybe it is bugged
will spam into your ship's storage. it's pretty much free credits but it is annoying.
...also if you make any... absolutely ANY modifications to the "Frontier" your starter ship, you will lose the map and research tables along with some hidden "bonus" stats you cant even see. as the "NOVA Galactic All - In - One hab" doesn't come with those normally and the game will default your Frontier to the non-Unique model you can find anywhere. so yeah that's a thing.
i think the devs dont make that variant availible to purchase because if they did, it would generate with all the unique dialogue and placed items relating to Barret as it currently is modeled in the game files... notice how when you normally enter a ship, it gives you the option to enter or teleport directly to the cockpit? well your first time entering the frontier it doesnt give you this option, which is only one thing that makes that module unique as far as coding works in the game.
You necro'd a 11 month old thread dude. and what they are talking about WAS a bug that was present back then, but has since been fixed.
